Have final design sketch for Dark from my super random Future!AU 
Just to make it clear right here, he's an android. 

Basically, in this AU the future world is struggling with their battles against robot troops (created by an unknown party). While the enemies get stronger and more complicated to beat down, and while the human troops are getting smaller and smaller by number, the current government decides to create androids to fight by their side. (As ironic as it is). Dark's the first android to be created. Basically, he's an experiment. 

Dark is made to look exactly like Link on purpose. The enemy troops create data from every enemy they come across, first attacking the strongest by their data. So far, Link has managed to make himself the most potential threat to them. By making an android that looks like him, people are willing to see if the enemy robots would get confused by two exactly alike looking enemies. Also the color differences on hair, eyes and clothes are on purpose, to see if the enemies can tell colors apart. People already know that they tell their troops and the humans apart with tremor sensors, which is why androids have heated oil running beneath their skin like blood in veins to create false body warmth. People are actually planning on using these androids as baits, making them take the attacks while the real humans finish off the enemies. Androids are machines, so they can get fixed after the attacks they've taken. 

The amount of data Dark has along with his outcome and materials as close to real skin and hair as you could possibly get make him terribly close to an actual human. His 'skin' has multiple sensors on it, making him able to 'feel' when someone touches him. Basically a touch causes small, electric vibrates course to his central system, where he recognizes it as a touch. However, he isn't actually able to 'feel' anything like pain, pleasure, warmth etc. What else makes him different from a human is that he doesn't have the need to eat, sleep or even breath. (However, he has to be 'charged' every now and then to keep his system going on). Neither does he have a single idea about feelings and emotions. Before he learns about those, his personality comes rather close to Fi's from Skyward Sword. Learning about emotions makes his true personality come out later on. (Because apparently, becoming sentimental isn't impossible, by some unknown reasons). 

Dark isn't actually his real name in that AU, tho. He is called Zero by his serial number until Link comes up with Dark.
